Health and Pregnancy
As many of you know my daughter Theresa(Cayleigh and Jayie's mommy) is prego again and we all think she is further along than she knows. Well she went for blood work and it shows 2-4 weeks. If that is the case she is worried because she feels she has low numbers and she wanted an ultra sound to see. She is puffy and almost showing and with both of the girls it took months. Maybe it is because she has already had 2 and maybe she is just gaining faster than when she had the girls. She is worried because her friend had a miscarriage when her numbers were low.

We kept asking for 2 months now if she was prego and she said no now she is looking back and like us thinks she may be further along. If that is the case the numbers are too low. Anyone know about these things. Please give us advice. Her hubby thinks she is just too worried. Could an ultra sound hurt this early? I didn't think it could but would like to know. Maybe we are having a boy and the pregnancy is just so different... I hope all is well.. Gram Sandy

My friend started showing really early on her third one, but not that early. I think the only way to really find out is by ultrasound. I hope everything is okay with her pregnancy~

They usually dont do one at 2-4 weeks
Maybe at 6 weeks, and it may have to be an internal (ive had 2 of them, its similiar to an exam)
I had low numbers two times, once I miscarried and the next time when I was regnant with Kayla. They put me on progesterone (a hormone) ...

when I was pregnant with Kayla my numbers were low, so they tested me again in a week and the numbers went down instead of up...I would have miscarried her too if they hadnt put me on progesterone

Tell her to talk to her dr....she may only be 2-4 weeks along, but tell her to tell any concern to her dr. they can do another blood test to make sure her hormone levels are continuing to go up

Good Luck!

She should talk to her dr about her concerns. Everyones levels are different in the first few weeks. I think it all depends on the actual date of implantation... It can take 5-12 days. And the numbers double every 3 days I think, once implantation occurs. So she really may not have been pregnant 2 months ago. And if she did get pregant 2 months ago, and her levels are reading 2-4 weeks, I think she would have already started to miscarry by now for the readings to be like that at 8+ weeks preggo. I would not worry. Every pregnancy is different, and yes, maybe it is a boy. But I think they cannot do a ultrasound until 6 weeks, usually at 8-9 weeks, to determine actual due date. If she is really worried, she can go in for another blood test after 3 days from last one to see is the levels are increasing. Saying a prayer for your daughter....

I started showing at 5 months with my first, 4 months with my second, 3 months with my third and YES 2.5 months with my fourth! I always said if I had a 5th I'd show the day I conceived, lol.
