My nephew who's three had an allergic reaction to something at his grandpa's house on New Year's Eve. Same thing happened he got the rash, his lips swelled and his throat started closing up. My sister got in her car and called the ambulance on her cell phone. The ambulance met them on the road and he was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, the worst thing that happened was that he woke up on Christmas morning in the hospital. It was very, very scary. I also spent a good deal of time praying.
Thank you, it was scary. I baby sat for Alex for his first two years. He is two months older than James and they are very close. He seems more like my own son somedays than my nephew. I can't imagine what I would've done if it hadn't turned out so well, not to mention my sister and BIL!
I am sorry to hear about his g-pa Kelly. I am so happy everything worked out good. Bobbi told me about it so I was thinking about you all. The man upstairs does in deed answer our prayers. they may not always be answered the way we want them to but its not in our control you always have to remember that.
Wow, SO glad to hear he is okay!! I definitely believe that prayers are important. But I also feel that just because a certain prayer seems to go unanswered doesn't mean God isn't listening :) Your Grandpa-In-Law (woah, does that even exist? LOL) is a lucky man! Severe allergic reactions are definitely not something to mess with.
My sister had a severe allergic reaction to penicilin when she was a baby and almost died. She's just fine now, but hasn't gone near the stuff in 25 years!
I believe God is always watching, or angels at least, because someone was sure watching me 2 years ago when I got in that bad car accident! I am SO lucky I'm not paraplegic or something, and even more lucky that I'm alive!
