How very heart breaking; something does seem a little fishy that both kids are drowned. Prayers for the family

so tragic. did they some how get into the pool gate? From reading the article is sounds like the pool was well secured, so yes something seems fishy. You certinally have to be vigilent with kids around water. My 2 can swim so hopefully would be able to save themselves if they needed too, but I never leave them around pools or water without people I trust to supervise them.

OMG so sad!

Sounds alot like this wasn't an accident.

We had something similar happen here a few years back but not in a pool.
My oldest used to take Karate and there was this single father with two kids he was raising on his own cause his wife had passed away. I knew him from before this and he had asked me out a few times and I always said no. He was a little different but still seemed like a real good father.

Well his parents lived on the lake and him and his kids who where I think 6 and 10 at at the time went out for lunch at McDonald's then he took them swimming. Shortly after a 911 call cam in that there were two kids that had drowned in the lake. When the ambulance, police and rescue got there the father was just sitting there in shock they said. He told them he was lying on the rocks and fell asleep when he woke up he found them washed up on the beach. No one was buying that this area of beach was very safe and for both of them to have drowned was very fishy. So after investigation it was proven that the father had held them both under water until they were gone. The investigators didn't come to this conclusion until after the kids funerals. He was arrested right after.

I had a very very hard time with this and still have a hard time talking about it. It was just to close to home for me and I talked to these kids and this man twice a week. He sat with me while I waited for my son to finish his lessons.

this is part of what i couldnt say....
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Department of Children and Families said it is investigating a claim that two children who drowned in a neighbor's pool Saturday night were home alone when they drowned.

Police said 3-year-old Blessing Ibeagwa and her 6-year-old brother Gerard Ibeagwa died when they wandered into their neighbor's pool in the 2600 block of Sunrise Ridge Lane in Arlington. Police said they were found when the homeowner returned after 10 p.m.

The children were rushed to area hospitals, where both died.

who in their right mind would leave a 3 yo & a 6 yo alone. I feel sorry for the neighbour who owned the pool, it wasnt their fault & they have to live with this tragedy in their house every day
