I was in Target today and I seen a few of the Computer Programs for babies - One was called GIGGLES (I think)
It enables your baby to play along by hitting the keyboard - the program is made so that they can pound on the keyboard all they want & it wont hurt your computer or mess it up -LOL
I was thinking about getting one For Shonara's Birthday coming up - but I'm unsure if its worth it -
Has Anyone tried or has such a program for their babies/kids
There was another one by Disney but it was more for 2 years & up - the GIGGLES one was for 9 mos to 24 mos I think
They all looked very educational for babies
I've never seen one, but I'm not sure it's such a good idea. I spent ALOT of time telling James NOT to touch my computer! I'm not sure I'd want to get it so he thought it was ok. Besides that if he knew that was on here he wouldn't ever share so I could be on it. ;o)
I just think it might lead to kids thinking its ok to beat up the computer because we all know they are not cheap. Just my opinion.
I SAW THAT...IT LOOKS REALLY NEAT!! I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE FOR MICHAEL BUT I DON'T THINK HE IS READY FOR IT YET. I JUST BOUGHT THE LIL LEAPS TV THING
I bought this from the Fisher-Price website about 4 months ago. We just opened it last night and Joseph went buck wild pounding on the keyboard.
Its basically a keyboard the attaches to ours and let me tell ya its STURDY!!! The keyboard has numbers and letters and 3 shapes on it. This also came with a Grow-With-Me Software which is really neat. When the baby/kid touchs keys on their own keyboard (or you help them) different shapes/colors/animals come on the screen. If I could recommend something for your child this would be it!!!
Yes, I also have that fisher price keyboard and program that is mentioned in the above post. My dad bought it to make Kaylis her own computer. If you want to see a picture of it, I have on in my top 6! There is also an interative Blues Room game that Kaylis has, too! She loves it! Hope this helps!
we bought Cooper a kid laptop and he loves it. It has games and learning tools but he is still to young to understand how it works.....for now he just likes "working" on the computer like mom & dad :-)
We bought Gracin the entire VSmile Baby system this past Xmas and she used it once. She was not interested at all and to be honest, it wasnt worth $90 to me. when you finally find a tv that it will connect to, the only thing it does is when you push a button the colors change on the screen. (thats what the first cartridge does anyway.) we never tried the other 4 games. just my opinion but i didnt think it was worth the money. i might try one of the other ones though that people have mentioned.
I bought Jailynn that baby VSmile as well and it wasn't worth it and i bought like four games she didn't like it cause it realy didn't do anything i wish i had gotten her the one for older kids but now i'm thinking about buying that my first computer by leapfrog the one you hook up to the tv hopefully she will like it alot better than she liked that baby vsmile.
