My older boys used to play all their dvd's in french or spanish with the english closed caption on after they had watched it the first time. They used to think it was hilarious to hear the foreign voices for thier favorite characters LOL. Of course they weren't babies when they did this, but they weren't all that old either.
yes we use that all the time at home! its our very own hooked on phonics. it really does help kids learn to read & it will also play in any foreign launguage we select. so i think it will be really helpful we they are in credit courses for college or high school for a required foreign language. & we also use the picture in picture PIP so we can see 2 channels together
We have it on a lot for my stepdaughter she can hear, but at times is difficult for her if she is not wearing her hearing aid... Sierra will sometimes pick out the letters here and there and make the sound that letter makes.
My parents did this with me growning up, until I was about 18 I couldn't watch tv unless cc was on..LOL But I think it helps kids with words..they are able to hear them adn the see what they look like
